Float Glass
Float glass is made from floating molten glass on top of a bed of molten metal (usually tin). This creates consistency flat surfaces and uniform thickness. Float glass is typically made from soda lime glass.
Application: Float glass is typically used for modern windows because of its flat non distortive surface.
Clear float glass is transparent, however when tilted on edge it possess a slight green tinge, but when viewed from face on it is colourless. Clear float glass has a very high visible light transmittance and acts as a great source for natural daylight.
